Your
trip to Asia can be a rich and rewarding experience. There are
ancient cultures and artistic traditions to appreciate and a wealth
of natural wonders to see -- all coexisting with modern societies.
However, the customs and local conditions can be as distant from
home as the miles, and travelers should plan their trips carefully.
Overseas family trip helpful ideas...
1. Plan ahead (at least a year).
2. Inform kids school (days of absence in class).
3. Call PCP for shots (malaria, etc.).
4. Make a list of necessary things you need.
5. Plan where to stay.
6. Gather information from someone who recently back from trip
of destination. 7. Make copies of the following:
(a) Passports
(keep copy in a safe place & leave some to relatives in U.S.)
(b) Tickets
(c) Address & telephone numbers of relatives
overseas
(d) Itinerary of trip
(e) PCP's phone number
(f) Kids school phone number
(g) Health insurance cards
8. Inform neighbors and relatives of trip.
9. Hold or temporary stop deliveries of
(a) Mail
(b) Milk
(c) Papers, etc.
10. Set a timer for porch light.
11. Tidy up house before leaving.
12. Contact U.S. consul or
embassy in case of lost passport, etc.
13. Get plenty of rest before leaving.
14. Review checklist.
15. Never forget your passports, tickets & money.

example: for a family of four to travel from Denver to Vietnam
roundtrip at the mid-February through the first week of March,
adults cost about $920 and children cost about $690, VISA and
paperwork included. Check with your travel agent for current prices.
If you need to take sickness pills, it is suggested to take it
an hour before departure.
