The
reality that we experience is not what it really is. We are living
in a virtual reality that is created by an intelligent machine.
In the "real" world, our body is farmed for liquid as nourishment
for these machines, while our baby-minds are
tap into believing we are living here on Earth. Morpheus (Laurence
Fishburne) must find
Neo (Keanu
Reeves) and mold
him into "The One"- our savior. With Neo our rebels will be able
to stop
the conspiracy and overthrow the Matrix.
This
futuristic, action, thriller movie contains many cool and new
visual effects. The movie reminded me of a mixture of Xena's
flying action, the fighting style from Mortal Kombat,
the movie (Part I), and Blade's coolness. These
formulas together made The Matrix a good movie to go watch. I
especially enjoy seeing Keanu Reeves and Laurence Fishburne involve
in a kung fu fight. To me, seeing two superstars fighting and
knowing that they have never done anything related to kung fu,
just gave me a different perspective of them. This movie is definitely
a must see.
