Joe,
our youth editor, thought to psyche-out his opponents with
psyche-gear including gloves, 1 sandal and war paint on
his face... It didn't work (again, he tried it on Sat).
Maybe next year Joe.

The
weather man was wrong again. So what's new... The weather
forecast was wrong two weeks ago when we got rained on. We
were betting the forecast was wrong again this week. But just
in case we had reserved indoor courts at Heatherridge Country
Club. Thanks to Heatherridge for giving us a backup plan! |
 |
Although
it was quite chilly early Sunday, it didn't snow or rain.
Most of the players had on two or more layers of clothes.
Is this a skiing event or what? |
| OK,
Let's all stand and keep from freezing to our chairs! |

Duke,
Chris, Phuc and Cuong posed before the playing the Men's Beginning
Doubles final match. |
| The
sun is out, we can shed those sweats now! |
 |
 |
Action! |
More
action. |
 |
Quan,
the Men's Beginning Singles champion giving Chris the second
place finisher a shoulder rub after the match. No doubt, the
minor injuries was caused by a spectacular somersault Chris
performed over the net after chasing after a drop shot by
Quan. |
| Yes
it was that cold! |
 |
 |
Sportsmanship
after a hard fought match. |
| Cheering
on the players. |

By
the time the Minh and Alex got around to playing for the 2nd
and 3rd place Men's Singles title. Each player had already
played a total of 8 matches. They decided to spin the racquet
to decide the winner (not a bad idea considering Minh had
cramps and 2 more matches to play!) |
| Maybe
I should've played the tiebreaker with Alex instead! Minh
after the racquet flip in which he called "M" on
the racquet handle. |

 |
We even had a ball boy for the finals. Thanks Utnhi! |
|
Good tournament! Let celebrate and go home. See you next year. |
