See What Lightning Does to a Tree?

Our
roving reporting team tracked down a tree that was struck by lightning
around 5 P.M. on Friday, June
11th.
Here,
Tony pointing to a piece of bark that literally exploded off this
tree as lightning struck its trunk. The bark landed 15 yards away
from the tree!
The
recent thunder storm caused some major damages to the south of
Denver. Aurora experienced some major lightning storms which struck
Village East Park on Moline street and Mississippi.

Apparently,
this bolt of electricity found its way to the ground via this
poor tree stripping out the bark as it made its way to the earth!

Another
view of the lightning scar.
