Tu Luu's father, brother and sister are all Pastors. The entire
family is Christian. This set him up to be a "natural" when it
came to Gospel music.
Started
as a professional pianist, his singing came by "accident". Friends
had persuaded him to participate in a singing competition in which
he captured a gold medal. He took the achievement very lightly
because he didn't think of it as his true potential. A few days
later a TV production company (in Vietnam) contacted him and wanted
to sign contracts with him. His answer was "Why not?", the money
would support the family.
His
music is diverse.
Coming
to America in 1992, his U.S. popularity grew out of his Vietnam
stardom.
His
mother is his role model, because she has been very supportive
for the whole family. Everyone in his family looks up to his mom.
She is around 80 years old and is in good health. He's the eleventh
of twelve children, who are all equally successful as pastors
or in the entertainment industry.
He likes the freedom in the U.S. because he can express his ideas
and love through music.
This
handsome man is still single (believe it or not) because he is
focusing on making music and building his own music production
company called Ca Dao Productions.
He
is devoted to God and uses his gift of writing, singing and playing
the piano in a very meaningful way to fulfill his faith to God.
He
tours and crusades nationally and worldwide. He expressed his
gratitude for support of his fans, especially the younger generation.
AsiaXpress.com
wishes Chung Tu Luu much success in his pursuits.
