The Aurora Asian/Pacific Community Partnership holds 1^st Education Awards Program

    The Aurora Asian/Pacific Community Partnership held its first Education Awards Program at the Aurora Fox Arts Center on December 17, 2000. Under the leadership of Co-Chairs Jeff Seifried and Donna LaVigne, the Partnership successfully organized and implemented their Education Awards Program to recognize Asian American students who excelled in leadership, academic and community service categories during the year 2000.

Keynote speaker was Ba Vovan, Denver Public Schools Educator, who guided the Partnership in the process of establishing this program.

The festive occasion was also the Partnership’s way of thanking the Steering Committee Members their many "friends" during this Holiday season. Hors d’oeuvres and Holiday Cheers were offered before the awarding ceremonies.

Excellent entertainment was provided by Thai dancers, Lao-Hmong performers, and Junior Wahines.
