CAPNET/APABA Happy Hour
By Felicia H. Ho
September 1 , 2000

The Colorado Asian Professionals Network (CAPNET) and the Colorado Asian/Pacific American Bar Association (APABA) recently held their first jointly sponsored happy hour at Gene Tang's 1515 Market Grill in Lodo. Members of both organizations enjoyed drinks and Asian fusion cuisine while networking and mingling with fellow Asian/Pacific American professionals.

CAPNET is a newly formed organization of young professionals whose purpose is to promote the personal and professional development of the Asian/Pacific American community in Colorado. Its membership is comprised of a diverse group of individuals with various levels of education and professional experience. Among the fields represented are finance, real estate, telecommunications, medicine, accounting, and law.

In its first year of existence, CAPNET has held monthly networking events including hiking trips, restaurant reviews, and happy hours. Future events and projects include financial planning seminars, a mentoring program with local college students, and joint functions with other Asian/Pacific community organizations. Those interested in more information should visit www.capnet.8m.com.
