Singer-songwriter Vienna Teng announced she will be playing on Sunday, May 3 at the Boulder Theatre for a taping of the NPR radio program, “E-Town.” Teng is currently on tour for her new album, Inland Territory.
‘The Legion of Extraordinary Dancers’
Jon Chu, director of “Step Up 2 The Streets,” unveiled the trailer for his new scripted Web series, “The Legion of Extraordinary Dancers.” The show will follow the formation of an elite dance crew called LXD.
‘Crank: High Voltage’
Actress Bai Ling will play Ria in “Crank: High Voltage,” starring Jason Statham. The movie opens in theaters on Friday, April 17.
AAPIs in the box office
Director Justin Lin’s “Fast & Furious” stayed strong in theaters, finishing second with $28.8 million. “Observe and Report,” which features John and Matt Yuan, finished fourth with $11.1 million. “Dragonball Evolution” finished eighth in its debut week, taking in $4.7 million.
