LIN LONG DANCE GROUP from TAIWAN -
Celebrates Chinese New Year in Colorado

Sponsored by the Rocky Mountain Chinese School PTO and Colorado Chinese News and Library, the internationally-acclaimed Lin Long Dance Group from Taiwan, celebrated Chinese New Year with a performance held at the Ranum High School Auditorium in Westminster, Colorado on February 1, 2003.

Founded in 1986 by Mr. Lin Chin Chang, Mrs. Huang Lee Hua, Art Director and choreographer of Lin Long, trains children 8-17 years of age to perform colorful and exquisite dances that reflect Taiwan culture and traditions. The group has received many international awards.

Joint emcees: Donna F. Louie and Wayne Lee introduced the performances both in English and Chinese.

Beautiful young Lin Long dancers in exquisite costumes, opened the program with “White Peonies” symbols of prosperity and nobility in Chinese culture. Dancing in the breeze like ocean waves, the performers expressed the beauty of the flowers.

Lin Long dancers perform another dance gracefully waving giant fans.

Jocelyn Chao, daughter of Wendy Chao, performs the traditional ribbon dance. A Rocky Mountain Chinese School alumna, and special guest, Jocelyn flew from Boston where she studies.

Mr. Chin-Chang Lin, Lee-Hua Huang, Wendy Chao and Donna Louie receive plaques of appreciation for their hard work and successful efforts to organize this event.

Mr. Lin Chin Chang, Former Colorado Lt. Gen. Joe Rogers, Nestor Mercado, Wendy Chao, Mrs. Katie, Tom Migaki, Albert attended the Ling Long Dance Group performance held at the Ranum High School Auditorium, February 1, 2003.
