Dashdavaa Erdenebilig, Men's Advanced singles Champion

AsiaXpress.com held its third annual tennis tournament Saturday, September 22 and Sunday, September 23. This year's event was the best to date in terms of players participation. More than a hundred players came out to compete this year. We saw more community support as the tournament was fully funded by various businesses and organizations in the metro-Denver area. The event continues to draw a diverse group of athletes from the community. We had our first participation from the Mongolian community, Dashdavaa Erdenebilig, who won the Men's Advanced singles division!

AsiaXpress.com got support from the players of past AsiaXpress.com's tennis tournaments. These volunteers (Gary Do, Hoa Le, Phuc ) helped in fundraising and event coordination this year. We also got support from the CAPSA student group from the local Colleges and Universities. This year's event could not have go on without these volunteers support.

The weather was bright and shiny the entire weekend, but many participants were feeling under the weather as they were feeling fatigue and unmotivated. They weren't saying it, but the recent tragedy in NY may have weighted heavy on their minds. Before tournament play started, the entire group gave a moment of silence to those who have lost their lives in New York.
